A beautiful hand painted Italian small tray or dish in the 'Dafne' design.  This design features lemons and their foliage with a deep blue feature at each end, surrounded by a yellow border.  The overall background of the plate is in a bright white.

The tray measures 280mm long and 130mm wide and has a handle on each end.

On the back of the tray the artist who painted it has painted by hand 'Dip. a Mano' which is short hand for 'Dipinto a mano' which translates from Italian as 'Painted by Hand' and then 'Deruta ' which is the town where the trays are made.  <MOD> which stands for 'Majolica of Deruta' (the name of the company that has made this item) and then Italy.
