A beautiful hand painted Italian dinner plate in the 'Zafiro' design.  This design features a design of  foliage and fruit on a black background..   This black background is a unique design from the small Umbrian town of Deruta.

The plate measures 250mm in diameter. On the back of the plate you can see MOD (Majolica o Deruta) which refers to the name of the manufacturer and the place the ceramics are made. Dip. a mano (dipinto a mano) means 'painted by hand'. Each item is handpainted and unique.
