This photo was taken a few days after the snow storm had passed from the air. If you look carefully at this photo you will see that I have circled out little house, with it's roof covered in snow. It was great to see it, but we have had to check with the locals, as it looks from this photo that one of our little French doors could be open!
This image is looking down the main entry road into our little village. Clearly some vehicles had made it up, but it is steep....
The snow plow with chains can go anywhere and looks like it was on site even before it had stopped snowing. I was chatting to a local Italian and said it must be difficult to get up to the village in these conditions and he said, 'Oh no, we are very well organised; there will be salt on the roads very soon; we can get up to the village no problem'.
