All of the images in this section are original work from Dream of Italy.

The photos have been taken during our trips to Italy and include subjects from Milan in the north of Italy through to Salerno in the South.  The subjects are both places and objects of significance that capture the essence of Italian life, culture or ambience and are intended to be a way of connecting from here (where ever that is) to Italy and to the great memories that we have of our time there and the people that are associated with each place.  Each image has a short narrative on the story or feeling the image evoked in me and what I hope to convey to the viewer.

The majority of images have been captured using a Canon 450D Digital SLR camera with a Canon EFS 18-200 lens and Image Stabilization.  All the images are captured using "camera raw"  and post processed using Adobe Photoshop.  Where necessary, a Canon 430EX II flash unit has also been used.

Some of the shots have been taken with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7 camera.

We are in the process of producing a series of screen savers with various themes, including one of our favourites, the Fiat 500 originals, Italian dogs and also various regions of Italy.  For now, we have a sampler screen saver available.  Click here to request a free copy.
